CF submitted a planning application on behalf of a local developer, to Cambridge CIty Council for the redevelopment of the site south of the city centre.
The scheme will provide 4 no. 4 bed townhouses and 2no. 3 bed apartments, with basement parking and private rear gardens for the townhouses and cycle and bin storage to the rear of the site.
The high quality development south of Cambridge City Centre, does not attempt to replicate the existing buildings, but instead provides a contemporary interpretation using the historic assets as inspiration.
Bordering a conservation area, the development retains the existing mature trees and provides large corner glazing to break down the massing of the elevation.
On a sustainable level, the design maximises the use of solar gain with the living areas on the south and east side. The thermal performance will exceed current building regulations .
